10th May – 5th June 2013
Every year, Canberrans make the journey by road to the southern corner of the state. The history of the road is written in sweeping plains, steep bends, middens, wildlife, bridges, rainforest gullies, pie and petrol stops and, finally, the first glimpse of the ocean. Eight Far South Coast artists interpret the journey and express the links of past and present that connect Canberra and the coast.
Featuring work by Anna Buck, Jan Collingridge, Louella McPaul, Jane Murphy, Georgia Partridge, Anneke Paijmans, Donna Ransom and Jan Ridgway.
The exhibition will open at Belconnen Art Centre, ACT on 19 April and runs to 5 May, it will then tour to Spiral Gallery.
