A Community Story of Networking and Sharing

“My Story, My Place” is an Arts and Music program principally funded and supported by Arts NSW, WorkAbility and Richmond PRA. The Program commenced in May 2013, and is open to WorkAbility clients in the Bega and Eurobodalla Shires. The project gives each artist a chance to tell their story and have their journey showcased, valued and embraced in the wider community.  High calibre artists and musicians (Steve Fox, Annie Franklin, Lucy Culliton, Paul Johnston….) facilitate and/or mentor the Music and Art sessions which have been held in the Bega WorkAbility basement fortnightly –participants from Cooma are bussed down especially. The Program is replicated in Moruya via the Bateman’s Bay WorkAbility Staff.

The first “My Story, My Place” exhibition/performance was a huge success at Ability Day in December, and participating artists are ‘pumped’ for the Spiral Gallery exhibition starting next week!
