Jan Collingridge majored in Art and Design in the UK, and following a 35 year teaching career, now concentrates on her own art practice.

‘Droughtbreaker’ was selected for the Countryscapes exhibition in 2011. It’s one of a series painted on the Monaro. “The power poles take on an almost monumental presence on the bare hills. On this afternoon, a massive storm cloud approached and in the paddock, tall dry twiggy weeds shifted and rattled together as the wind started up.”

Her work has also been selected for the Bega Art Prize and twice for the Meroogal. She recently had a very successful solo show in Bermagui and has shown her work in several group exhibitions in South East NSW.
